Meet Our Staff
Campus Minister 
Chris Garriott is in his fourth year as RUF Campus Minister at the University of Maryland. Chris grew up in Granite, Maryland (Baltimore County) and graduated from Randallstown High School in the age of big hair, docksiders and Izod shirts. After community college he finished his Civil Engineering degree from Geneva College just north of Pittsburgh. He next worked for the Maryland State Highway Administration in traffic engineering and for several years began sensing God's call to go to seminary and study the Bible and theology. This call took him to Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. Upon finishing his degree there, Chris taught Bible and coached baseball at Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis. After recieving a call into church youth ministry Chris left St. Louis for the wind and plains of Oklahoma where he was the youth pastor at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City (1998-2006). Chris loves to play the guitar, read theology, watch and play sports, ski, hang out with students, discuss the big questions of life, take major road trips, camp and eat crabs.

Interns

Kathryn Drumwright is the intern for female students at the University of Maryland. She graduated from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA in 2008. While at VT, she earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Study with minors in Social Studies and English Pk-6. She was very involved with RUF during her tenure at VT, serving on the leadership team, co-leading small groups, and chairing the social committee for two years. In addition to being a huge college football fan, she loves the mountains, camping, being outdoors, meaningful conversations, and kids. She was born in raised in Henrico Co., VA where her family still resides.

Patrick Watkins is the intern for male students at the University of Maryland. He is a recent graduate of Middle Tennessee State University
(MTSU) located just 30 miles southeast of Nashville, Tennessee. While at MTSU Patrick studied in the
discipline of Communication and now holds a Bachelor of Science in
Organizational Communication. He
was very involved in RUF during his tenure at MTSU, serving on the leadership
team and chairing the small group committee. Patrick loves the outdoors (especially the fall), music
(favorite band: Wilco), cultural
and academic discussions, documentaries and movies, concerts and great
conversation. His family resides in Franklin, TN. Patrick is very excited
about his move to the Northeast and serving the great University of Maryland!
